Sherif Raafat is currently chairman of Capstone Corporate Ltd.. and Capstone Advisory SAE. He also serves on the boards of Egycap Investments Ltd. and El Badr for Investments & Commercial Spaces SAE. Raafat previously served in different positions at Concord International Investments LP and was one of the three founding members of the Concord Egypt Office. He was Chairman of the Cairo & Alexandria Stock Exchange from 1997 to 1998 and served as advisor to the Board of the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange from 2003 to 2006. Raafat founded Abu Dhabi Investment Company in 1977 and was deputy general manager until 1979 responsible for IPOs and launching Eurobonds as head of the securities department. He joined Kidder Peabody in New York in 1974 becoming a partner in 1982; appointed branch manager in London in 1980-86 responsible for the Middle East and all products sold by the firm. Raafat holds an MBA from McGill University (Canada) and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Cairo University (Egypt)
Mr. Samir Raafat is Director of Capstone Corporate Ltd, El Badr for Investments and Commercial Spaces SAE and Capstone Advisory SAE, and serves as Director of Al Badr since 2013. From 1987 to 2014 he acted as property manager of family-owned real estate in Cairo, overseeing agricultural land, expanding an apartment building, and managing and developing four residential properties. From 1983-87, he was the Public Relations and Media Director of the Kuwait Real Estate Investment Consortium’s (Cairo Branch) hotel properties in Cairo. From 1976-82 he was a Credit Officer in Bank of America NT & SA Cairo Branch. In 1973 he obtained his B.A. in political science from the American University in Cairo 1973.
Hesham Hamza is currently managing director and board member of Capstone Advisory Services. From 2010 to 2015, Hesham was managing the real estate investment portfolio of Baniyas Investment & Development Company (BIDC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. From 2006 to 2009, Hesham was mandated to set up the regional fund management function for NAEEM Holding in the UAE. He launched and managed NAEEM's flagship MENA equity fund. From 2005 to 2006, Hesham was head of research at National Bank of Abu Dhabi where he set up the department and was heavily involved in the fund management process. Hesham Hamza started his career at Concord International Investments in Egypt as an equity analyst covering listed equities on the Egyptian Stock Exchange. In addition to being a CFA charterholder, Hesham holds an MA in Finance and Investment from the University of Exeter, UK, and BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo
Tarek Soliman is currently an Investment Director in Capstone. Prior joining Capstone, Soliman worked as an investment banker in the M&A department of Beltone Financial and advised to secure USD 40mn project financing for a leading real estate developer. From 2005 to 2010, Soliman managed several equity portfolios worth of USD 100mn in the portfolio management division of the asset management company of CI-Capital.
Soliman also founded Solera LLC, a leading company in the solar energy market in Egypt and Africa .He also serves as a board member on the board of Solera LLC
Soliman holds a BA degree in Economics from the American University of Cairo and holds a MBA from IE Business school Madrid. He is also a Certified Portfolio Manager and CFA level 2 candidate
Ahmed Abdelwahab served as Group CFO of the Mantrac/Unatrac Group (member of the Mansour Group) as well as CEO of Unatrac International Company. He was previously the Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Railway Projects and Transport Co. and sat on the BOD of Cairo Ferries Co & the National Trade Council/Ministry of Trade & Industry. From 2002 to 2005, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Egypt. From 1995 to 1998, he was head of research and member of the investment committee at Concord International Investment Company (New York) – Egypt office. From 1990 to 1995, he served as an Executive Manager of the National Bank of Kuwait International (BLC) (London), managing a 150-member staff. Abdel Wahab holds a Bachelor of Economics in 1980 from the American University in Cairo
Amr Ashmawy has more than 30 years of experience in engineering project management, building construction, and integrated engineering system development. Mr. Ashmawy is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rolaco Construction Company , specializing in high-end residential buildings, industrial construction, and oil & gas projects. He is also the president of Rolaco Construction Dubai, which operates as a project-based branch of Rolaco Construction Egypt. Mr. Ashmawy is an elected member of the board of directors and a member of the executive board of the Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors (EFCBC). He is also a member of the board of directors of Egypt for Management and Engineering Development.
